Vegetarian & Vegan

Vegetarian & vegan Indian food

Indian cooking has fed vegetarians for a very long time. Every Namaste restaurant carries vegetable, dal and aubergine curries, plus vegetable biryani and a full bread list.

Our approach

Vegetable curries at Namaste are built on the same onion, tomato and cashew bases used across the menu — they are not a meat dish with the meat removed. What that also means is that most of them contain dairy or cashew.

Being straight with you about vegan

We do not label any dish vegan until the kitchen that cooks it has confirmed the base, the bread and the oil. Rather than guess, every dish below is listed with what it actually contains, and vegan status is marked as awaiting confirmation.

Common questions

Do you have vegan dishes?
No dish is currently confirmed vegan. Most curry bases contain dairy or cashew. Speak to the restaurant when you order and they will tell you what the kitchen can do that day.
Are vegetarian dishes available at every restaurant?
Vegetable, dal, and aubergine and potato curries are on the menu at all 27 restaurants.
Does the naan contain dairy?
It can. The dough contains dairy, so rice is the safer choice if you are avoiding it.
Can you handle allergies?
Allergen data is still being confirmed restaurant by restaurant. Always tell the staff about allergies when you order.
